I shot this lovely maternity session last weekend in Olbrich Botanical Gardens. What I really enjoyed about this session is how this couple had such a feeling of peaceful happiness about them. They were calm, but excited. A little nervous, perhaps, but glowing with happiness (both mom and dad!). It’s one of the things I love best about maternity sessions, especially when I know that in a few short weeks I will be able to meet and photograph their precious little newborn too. These parents-to-be told me that they planned to include some of the maternity images in their baby’s scrapbook. I know that they will be a precious keepsake of this time.

This next photo really captures what I mean about the “glow.” See it?
